Signing of scholarship contracts
On November 9, 2018, a scholarship agreement was signed between students of higher secondary schools from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities.
The EU SIMRAES II project also grants 200 scholarships to these students, financed partly from EU funds, and partly by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The scholarship component within the project is implemented for three successive years, in cooperation with other partners offering scholarships for students from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities within the country-level program, coordinated by the Ministry. In addition to the 200 scholarships offered by the Project, there are 400 other scholarships offered by other organizations.
Among the 200 scholarship beneficiaries of the EU SIMRAES II project, there are 115 of them who also attend a mentoring program, which offers special support to students with the greatest needs, in order to regularly attend and successfully complete higher secondary education. Mentorship is provided by teachers mentors, engaged in the Project, and it is implemented in cooperation with schools and families of students that are beneficiaries.
